Michele Acuto is an expert in international urban development and the role of city leadership in global challenges. He is currently Professor in the Melbourne School of Design and Director of the Connected Cities Lab at the University of Melbourne. Michele joined the Fondation Botnar Expert Commission in May 2019 as our expert on cities.

Alice Gugelev

Member Expert Commission: Entrepreneurship & Innovative Financing

Alice Gugelev is the CEO of GDI Africa, and a global Director at GDI where she leads a portfolio of initiatives that drive large scale social change in areas such as financial inclusion, SME development employment, education, humanitarian work, and climate change. Alice joined the Fondation Botnar Expert Commission in March 2019 as our expert on entrepreneurship and innovative financing.

Kelechi Vera Olawoyin

Member Expert Commission: Talent Development

Kelechi Vera Olawoyin is the Head of Human Resources, Administration and Communications at Transport Services Ltd (TSL), Nigeria, the largest Indigenous Transport and Logistics company in Nigeria. She joined TSL in January 2018 from Novartis Africa, where she was the Head of Novartis Africa Corporate University. Kelechi joined the Fondation Botnar Expert Commission in March 2019 as our expert on talent development.

Max Price

Member Expert Commission: Global Research & Solutions

Max Price became Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town in July 2008, completing his ten-year term in June 2018. Following clinical work in academic settings and rural hospitals in South Africa, he gained a Masters degree at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, continuing there as a Research Fellow in Health Economics. Max is a qualified medical doctor with a MBBCh degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. Max joined the Fondation Botnar Expert Commission in March 2019 as our expert on global research.

Ramesh Raskar

Member Expert Commission: AI & Digital Health

Ramesh Raskar is an Associate Professor at MIT Media Lab and directs the Camera Culture research group. His focus is on AI and Imaging for health and sustainability. These efforts span research in physical (e.g., sensors, health-tech), digital (e.g.,automated and privacy-aware machine learning) and global (e.g., geomaps, autonomous mobility) domains. He has worked on special research projects at Google and Facebook and co-founded/advised several companies. Ramesh joined the Fondation Botnar Expert Commission in March 2019 as our expert on AI and digital health.
