Fondation Botnar funds the DayOne Accelerator Program, bringing together brilliant minds to solve the health challenges of young people.
The annual DayOne Conference on 11th September 2018 will bring together a unique mix of influential speakers, healthcare innovators, patients and startups to discuss and shape the future of health. In the morning of the day, thought leaders will discuss the healthcare systems’ need for change and how to make innovation happen as well as share lessons learned from real world success stories. In the afternoon, participants are invited to share their expertise and team up with one of the 20+ selected ideas and projects, including 15 from the DayOne Accelerator Program.
Dr. Stefan Germann, our Chief Executive Officer and Siddhartha Jha, AI/Digital Program Manager for Fondation Botnar will both be attending.
The DayOne Accelerator Program seeks brilliant project ideas that, combined with digital technologies, healthcare expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, will help solve the heath challenges and unmet needs of young people. Selected projects will receive up to 70,000 CHF in non-dilutive funding, as well as access to end-markets, co-creation with healthcare stakeholders, mentoring, and access to DayOne’s Lab.
Specifically, the program seeks ideas from healthcare innovators that seek to disrupt the status quo and solve the health challenges of young patients. To be selected, projects will need to meet the following criteria:
- Target health issues with a special focus on pediatrics and/or adolescent health
- Enable frontline work to deliver better health outcomes
- Lower the healthcare costs
- Are suitable for markets including in emerging countries
