Basel, 1 April 2026 – Fondation Botnar is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Eva Senn to its Board with effect from today, 1 April 2026. A highly regarded legal expert, Ms Senn has been President of the Civil Court of Basel-Stadt since 2016, having been elected by the Basel electorate. She is a member of the court’s praesidium conference and has experience in decision-making within complex and sensitive environments.

Her professional background includes roles as a conciliator and court clerk at the Civil Court of Basel-Stadt, as well as a business lawyer. She holds a law degree from the University of Basel and is admitted to the bar.

Elsbeth Müller, Chair of the Fondation Botnar Board, said: “We are excited to welcome Eva Senn to the Board. We look forward to her combining her judicial expertise with her leadership experience to enrich our governance, strategic, and supervisory responsibilities, as we work together to strengthen the conditions that enable the wellbeing of young people around the world.”

Eva Senn zum Mitglied des Stiftungsrats der Fondation Botnar ernannt 

Basel, 1. April 2026 – Fondation Botnar freut sich über die Ernennung von Eva Senn in den Stiftungsrat, die per 1. April 2026 erfolgt. Eva Senn ist eine anerkannte Juristin und seit 2016 vom Basler Stimmvolk gewählte Präsidentin des Zivilgerichts Basel-Stadt und Mitglied der Präsidiumskonferenz des Gerichts.

Im Laufe ihres Berufslebens war sie als Schlichterin und Gerichtsschreiberin am Zivilgericht Basel-Stadt, sowie als Wirtschaftsanwältin tätig. Sie hat einen Abschluss in Rechtswissenschaften von der Universität Basel und ist als Rechtsanwältin patentiert.
