Dr. Flavia Bustreo was elected to the Board in September 2018 and appointed Vice Chair in February 2020. She also served as Interim Board Chair from February 2024 until July 2024. She is an international expert and advocate for child rights, health and wellbeing and previously the Assistant Director-General for Family, Women’s and Children’s Health for the World Health Organization (WHO). She currently lives in Switzerland.
